Nephrotic Syndrome
It is disease complex comprising of swelling of all over body, heavy proteiuria (presence of protein vital urine) high cholestrol & triglyceride levels on the blood. . Damage is at the level of filtering unit of nephron ( Kidney Function Unit) excreting lot of proteins in the urine. Usually in children and adults it is completely treatable and in rest of patients it is controllable with the help of diuretics and immunosuppressive drugs. In adults all the patient requires kidney biopsy and sometime in children to know exact cause of nephrotic syndrome and specific drugs can be used to treat nephrotic patients. Earliest manifestation is mild swelling over face & legs and presence of frothuria.
